Syracuse road trip

Well this thread started with some questions about the courses in Syracuse in the Travel thread but it seeems that with all of the snow and the late start here in Ottawa there may be interest in a few foursomes going to Syracuse the weekend of the 18th of April.

McGoo has used his networking skills to hold 6 hotel rooms at a Ramada in Syracuse for those interested in staying over the Friday (18th) and Saturday (19th) nights. We have the opportunity to play 36 each the Sat and Sun and then return to Ottawa. This would be 3 foursomes if we have 2 players to a room. The rooms are being held until tomorrow so if you want in you will have to room up with someone and PM McGoo so that you can call the Ramada and book your room. For my part I will call the 3 courses and see what we can get for confirmed tee times as I suspect it will be first come first serve at the course. As for transportation I have my vehicle but I believe that McGoo and Bogeygolfer will be traveling with me. If you are interested, please post in this thread:

1) how many in your group and that you are sending a PM to McGoo about the hotel room and if you are driving or need a drive.

McGoo or I will update this thread to show the availability of the rooms and the course. I am calling Radisson Greens, Liverpool and Foxfire.

The room price is discounted from $119 plus 13% tax to $79 plus 13% tax. So if you want to share it would be about $45 per night.

I also can take my car if more vehicles are required.

I hope that this does not constitute hijacking this thread, but is anyone interested in a day trip to Syracuse this Sunday? I just checked the weather and it calls for 49 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny. I haven't confirmed yet whether work will permit me to go, but I certainly would like to do so.

Played Foxfire yesterday, weather was good, one quick shower, and sun was out for a long time. Actually got too hot with what I was wearing. Was there with Thunder and 6 others. Course was a little wet, but nothing too bad!! It was awesome to get out "close" to home and play 18.

Ramada have extended the reservations for the six rooms for the 25th & 26th to April 22nd. According to them, Pompey is the must play course followed by Drumland & Green Lakes.
