Additional Features
Great ideas so far, my input is not for specific likes/dis-likes of an existing site, but more of a feature request. I am in the process of thinking about my golf swing as we get another few cm's of snow, and am trying to find some good fitness tips which proves to be quite difficult. If the club you are working for decided to leverage their CPGA pro by putting on instructional tips and exercise ideas, I think that this could drive additional traffic to the site which could then turn into potential tee-times. Just make sure that they commit to keeping the content updated and relevant.

This, to me, is a really good website. I was checking out various sites for courses that I don't usually frequent, as that seems like a good test - how easily could I find info that I need and don't already know. I thought the layout was great. A menu down the left side, that stays there when you navigate to a new page (no need to click "back" and start from scratch). The pages itself was simple, not too many colours. Black print on a white background. It wasn't trying to be fancy - just getting the info across in the most simple and efficient manner possible.

I am shopping around for membership prices and I really liked the look of the Manderly website. Pictures of each hole were included along with a brief description of each hole. You can also do a virtual tour where you can have a 360* look at some of the tee boxes which is neat. Also nice is easy access to other services provided by the course (i.e. banquet, meetings etc.) I had no problem finding all the information I was looking for and more.

StoneBridge Construction
With all these people being fans of the StoneBridge golf site you may be out of a job. I've been trying to get on that site for the last few weeks but it says it is under construction so I am going to assume that you are the man. But I'm not asking you. My favourite feature on a golf site is the course tour. A picture of the hole with a little bit of information on how to attack it. Good Luck on your project.

I'd say Rivermeads is a great example:
http://www.rivermeadgolf.com/course/tour.html
No large flash animations at the start that stop me from getting where I want to go and take too much time to load.
Clean and simple layout.
Easy to navigate
Some of the key features I like on all sites:
Course Tour - great, especially when I have never played. Great if it has suggestions as to how to play it, yardages are great as well.
Scorecard
Course info - including rating and slope
Pictures - key to letting me see what I am getting for my $ (the more the better)
Map and directions how to get there. An interactive map is great
Directions and phone # - it is amazing how difficult this can be to find some times
Rate info - also key, how much and what specials exist.
Restaurant and eating info - a menu is great as well but not a must
Members section for all sorts of info.
Course news! - when are they punching their greens, are there holes under repair, are there temp greens, etc? This is key and should be front and centre.
Weather is nice, but I know the weather and can get it off the web if need be. if you are coming from afar, than this can be useful.
All in all, make it look professional as this is the first thing people see when looking at courses. It if looks like it was done in 2 hours, chances are the conditions and quality of the course match that.I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

My project is done and launched. Hopefully I incorporated more of your likes than dislikes. Check out the new sites:

I randomly selected a post for the free round. The winner is Nat Williams (PM Sent).
Thanks for all your suggestions!

LOL, I think he might be to smart for that Great websites man. I'm really impressed
Question, does the same person own all three courses? The sites all look very similar and if they aren't owned by the same people... woudln't they mind that there are two other courses out there with very very similar websties?
PS the websites look great!!willy

I went to school with the two sons and seem to remember that they had a younger sister, but I never knew her. Actually the one son was one of my bestfriends in school. And I just ran into him (or should say he recognized me) at the Ottawa Golf show this weekend, after not seeing each other for about 25 years!!!
Never dreamt I would ever get so hooked on this game!!

Cool
That's an awesome website. Now I know for sure that I don't drive the ball nearly as far as I think I can. Maybe this year will be different.
