we're looking at Oyster Bay and Tidewater for our trip in the spring. I've played Sea Trail, Indigo and Meadowlands and agree with your reviews....
Actually Indigo was our only ever rain-out in 9 years and 30+ rounds of golf. We got a rain check and played it the following year.....I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

If you haven't played Oyster or Tidewater, then you should jump all over them. I will have some pictures posted later that I will put a link to.

We chased that one back into the pond, and then the guy went and picked up the golf ball. It was just off the cart path near a par 3 green!

here's one we saw at Tiger's Eye in May. It's tough to get the scale, but he was about 12 feet long if I had to guess. I kept my distance.

Two on the green and two in the water for us. The pin on 17 was right up at the front!

Tidewater is a must play, as is Caladonia. Actually, they are both in my top 5 of the 40+ MB courses I've played.

Haven't played either Sea Trail course so I can't comment.
River Hills - played it over 8 years ago but remember it being good, nothing spectacular but good.
Tiger's Eye - VERY GOOD, one of the highlights of my trip this spring.
Man O' War - played it as a re-play a few years ago. It's not a "premium" type course but it's decent enough.
Enjoy your trip!

I was at Myrtle 2 weeks ago. The only one on the list I played was River Hills. Good course, great staff. You'll enjoy it. The marshall said there was a Hooters tour event there earlier in the year and the players complained that the greens were too fast. They didn't seem that fast when we played them though.
Have a great trip, and report back when you return!

I was in MB for a week (got back last Sunday)
...never seen so many CANADIANS!!! ($!!!)
We played:
1. Legends - Moorland
2. Barefoot - Dye
3. Thistle
4. Man-O-War
5. Legends - Parkland
6. Crow Creek
...also on the way down, we stopped & played in Myersville, Maryland at a FANTATIC course called
"Musket Ridge" (you can see it from the Interstate if you take the Buffalo-Pittsburgh-Washington route, which is how we found it in the first place!)
