Yeah, big football fan here. Unfortunately for me, my favourite team, Southampton is no longer in the Premiership. I also support Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish national team.

If you follow both your international teams then an exciting weekend awaits (17th) with Scotland and Holland both looking to try and qualify for EURO 08. Holland obviously have the much better chance with only needing to beat Luxembourg, Scotland needing to beat the World Champions (Italy)...

WOOOH ISRAEL!
Still a lot of work left for England to do. And I can't for the life of me understand why they scheduled a friendly for yesterday. And why they put the key to their offense, and the most brittle player in football history, on the field 5 days before such a critical game.
I haven't seen any highlights of the Scotland game, but tough break. I would have loved to see them make it into the championships. I've had enough of both Italy and France.

Meh, to be fair he had already ruled out an Italian goal for offside that was way onside and the Scotland equaliser was borderline offside. Mind you we deserve a bit of luck and I can't stop thinking about if only McFadden could have buried either of his great chances and we were able to close out the match. But alas this is real life, not the movies.
Scotland are up to 14th in the world and will be in the 2nd seed pot (they were a 4th seed for the EURO quals) for the world cup qualifiers draw, the campaign wasn't for nothing.

Injuries or not if England can't muster up a tie against Croatia at home they don't deserve to be going to EURO 2008. My money says they will come up with a big performance, but I know the Croatian Coach can't stand England so he will be going all out for the win. By the way my dad brought me up to be a Sunderland fan. My brother Man U and sister is Liverpool. Not sure why I stay with Sunderland . Probably the same reason I stay with my BlackHawks. Loyalty.

I never thought I'd say this, but...Can we have Sven-Goran Erikson back?
Honestly, what kind of decision is that, to start a goalie with no competitive international caps (one friendly against Austria), in the biggest game the country has played in two years? That was some of the worst goaltending I've seen at that level in a long time.
