OG Forum Fun Day NEW PRICE
Ok guys, we have spoken with the management at Casselview and they understand the issues and have offered a fantastic deal to keep our fun day on track and make it affordable to all. I can't believe this deal but I am not going to argue with it thats for sure. We have eliminated the golf carts (take one if you want and pay for it that day) and they have reduced the cost of the golf itself. Those already registered, you do not have to re-register this time and you will be charged at the lower rate. We are going to give this until Sunday June 3rd to see if anyone else is still interested.
Important: The greens have almost completely recovered 95% and playability is not an issue at all.
Here are the new details:
Saturday June 16TH at the CASSELVIEW GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
The format is play your own game.
Shotgun start at 12:00 or 1:00 depending on number of players.
skills contests before and after!
Cost is $50.00 per person
This includes:
- round of golf
- door prizes
- a great Roast Beef BBQ Chichen leg buffet supper (see previous post for details)
- bag-drop area with service
- valet parking (optional)
- designated parking for participants
Please register by Sunday June 3rd, you will need to contact the golf course directly to register. Mention you are registering for the OTTAWA GOLF FORUM MEMBERS TOURNAMENT
Telephone: (613) 798-4653
Direct Line: (613) 296-3744
Once you have registered please send a PM to LMS with your real name and froum handle so he can cross reference the registration with the Golf Club.(very important) You can makeup your own foursome or ask to be put with someone. LMS will put together the groups.
Please register as soon as you can so everyone can see that it will be a GUARANTEED DAY OF FUN !

WOW well done. So the carts have been taken off but that's a great deal, way to go Casselview. Must say that I have always been treated right by managment there. Even when I've had difficult situations, managment has always done the right thing.
Now I hope everyone can see the light and sign up ASAP! Lets make this day a day to remember.Bad days golf, better then a good days work!

I will add 3 more to my credit card tomorrow. Garth AKA 6WOOD, Paul and Bogey (yeh that's his real name LOL) will be part of my 4some. These are guaranteed players. So we're at 18 players for sure. I could get some maore at my tourney on the 10th. I'm sure they will accept even if it's a little after the cut off date.

I would have loved to play Bob, but I will still be in the north. Good luck, though. Don't tell Frank about this deal. He might decide to drive up from Pittsburgh!

This sunday at my tourney I'll be trying hard to get some players. To say that I have 77 players right now and should get 80, charging 75$ I just don't get why we're only so few in this one.

I am sure by next weekend we can have a few more. For all you newbies out there; feel free to join us---there are no Arnold Palmers or Jack Nickalauss out there' only bunchof good hearted people wanting to have a good time. The long range forcast is 22 degrees and sunny. Maybe you will go home with a major prize or a dozen balls. Game of golf 25.00---great diner 25.00---meet lots of good folks---priceless. How can you lose?

Fun Day Update
OK folks, here it is, we have decided to keep the event going. $50 for golf and a great buffet can't be beaten! Now, I have toned down on the prizes and will not be picking up some of the gifts offered by some very kind sponsors in here but we will be making drawings for some pretty nice gifts. We are a8 right now so you have better than a 50% chance of winning a door prize
Also, because we are only 5 groups (18 people) it WILL NOT be a shotgun start. Our tee times start at 12:03. So show up about 30 to 60 minutes before that to register and get all squaread away (rent a cart if you want one .... etc) and join Bugsy and me for a drink while you wait for your tee timeProud member of the 2009 OG/TGN Ryder Cup Champions
