2007 Forum Match Play Tourney: Brackets
Here you go... I will update this later with everybody's handicap factor (aka index)...
Also I've extended each round of the brackets to 3 weeks instead of 2 since there's only 32 of us not 64...
http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=225521
Please post your round 1 details (date/time, course, actual handicap factor that will be used) in this thread. When Round 1 is over, I'll start a new thread for round 2 and so on...

you go by the handicap for the course you are playing. since the number is your index, it could change slightly depending on the course.

For some reason this link does not work? It works if I go there though ...
http://www.rcganetwork.org/Course/Co...alculator.aspx
So if Wilster is 14.1, the calculator says he is 15 for EC from the whites, and for me 19.9 becomes 22, so I guess I get 1 stroke on each of the 7 toughest holes.

What's the forum opinion on bribery? I just offered my opponent a break on the green fee to entice him into my trap, I mean my home course.

Habsfan
Here you go:
Course handicap= your handicap multiplied by the slope of the tee you are playing from, divided by 113.
Once we calculate both our course handicaps for the tees we will be playing from, you subtract those from each other to see how many strokes I get. Then you split that number into 2 and I get that many strokes on each of the front and back nine.
And I get the strokes on the most difficult holes on the course.Proud member of the 2009 Ryder Cup winning team

Also, just to make sure everybody is on par with the "extra holes" rule in case a match ends up all square after 18 holes:
As per RCGA rules, Appendix I:
<<
Match Play
A match that ends all square should be played off hole by hole until one side wins a hole. The play-off should start on the hole where the match began. In a handicap match, handicap strokes should be allowed as in the prescribed round.

I would enjoy playing my match with another match in a foursome. We could slow play and watch the other match at the same time.
