Nintendo Wi Console
Anyone know where I can get one? My son would like one but it seems pretty hard to get.

You're in for a tough battle if you want to buy one retail, but at least you have better chances than someone looking for a PS3. Your best bet is to stay on top of the local inventory checks at Best Buy & Future Shop and to just call around to all the Wal-mart, EB Games & Zellers and hope you can find one. EB Games might be a wash cause they take pre-orders and put you in a queue I believe, but you might have luck at some of the others.
Waiting for stock to come in on the BB & FS websites is probably a waste because there are people on there constantly waiting for stock to show up, its usually gone within minutes.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

Ok thanks. I have been calling around, no luck so far. Well if all fails I will give him an IOU. They don't even know what they will get so I am not going to go crazy trying.

the demand for the nintendo is far exceeding the demans for the ps3. Futureshop had 63 calls about it yesterday and only 10 about the ps3

Do you know what are considered the best games out for it then? If I can't get the console for christmas I could at least get a couple of games and the money for the console.

It comes with a sports bundle that is definitely geared towards a younger generation, very simple games. What kind of games does he like?

What does that even mean? A single future shop had 63 calls or all the future shops? There could be many reasons for that as well, like the fact that it appears to be impossible to get a PS3, so maybe people have given up calling for one, where as the Wii has greater production numbers, so people keep calling expecting to get one.

Well, he is 23 Lol. Apparantly it is supposed to be fun for all ages.
It does seem to be very much in demand. There are sites dedicated to helping you find one. The next shipments seem to be on the 17th and people are lining up all night to get one.

Well as a 28 year old who still loves video games, here's a few ideas for games...
1. Call of Duty 3
2. Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
3. Far Cry Vengeance
4. Need for Speed Carbon
5. Red Steel
6. Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam
He should be happy with any of those!!

If you don't mind ordering on line check with www.consolewatch.com, a Canadian site. They will send you an e-mail when the stores have them in stock. You have to be fast though because they sell out very quickly.

That is a handy site. I can check it every morning to see if anyone has any. Thanks Michael

The problem with ConsoleWatch.com right now is that so many people are registered with it that it takes about an hour to get the email if you're a new subscriber - by that time all consoles are gone. Check RedFlagDeals.com on a regular basis and when they go online, somebody will post it there (Forums/Hot Deals).

Good luck getting one - Toys R Us is getting 20 per store Saturday but as of 11pm on Friday, there was already a line of over 20 people at ALL Toys R Us in Ottawa/Gatineau. Same for Zellers. Good luck!!!
