Hello there! I, Wendy Ignor am a new member. I've been golfing in the Kitchener
and surrounding areas for the last 2 years. I would like to know what
my handicap is. Could someone calculate it for me. Here are the
following scores for 9 & 18 Hole courses this year to date:
South Port-Southampton -9-Hole Course (May/06) 49
Merry-Hill - Kitchener -9-Hole Course(May/06) 48
Grand Vallley-Kitchener-9-Hole Course(June/06) 52
South Port-Southampton-9-Hole Course (June/06) 47
Merry-Hill - Kitchener-9-Hole Course (July/06) 48
South Port-Southampton-9-Hole Course (July/06) 49
Chippewa-Southampton-9-Hole Course (July/06) 52
Forest Golf & Country-London-9-Hole (July/06) 49
Forest Golf & Country-London-18 -Hole (July 06) 104
Forest Golf & Country-London-18-Hole (July/06) 107
I will be playing in a handicap tournament in a week and need this info. It is very
much appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Hi Wendy, welcome the site. As for your cap question, to properly calculate you'll also need the course's rating and slope. Hope this helps.

Hi Wendy, welcome! Ya know, if Geoff and Spackler were any kind of gentlemen, they would look up the course ratings for you

Handicap - Wendy
Ok! I hope this is the info you need to calculate my handicap. You have my scores from yesterday. Add this to it. Some slopes were not given.
Merry-Hill Golf Course 9-Hole -Yardage 1804 with a par of 30
Southport-Southampton Course 9-Hole - Yardage 4962 - Par 72
Grand Valley Golf Course 18 Holes -Yardage 5437-Slope 100
Chippewa Golf Course 18-Holes - Yardage 5046 - Par 71-Rating 36 - Slope 113
Forest Country Golf - 9-Holes - Yardage 2057 - Par 33
Forest Country Golf - 18 Holes - Yardage 4098 - Par 66
I only need an approximate handicap. It doesn't have to be 100% accurate. Looking forward to hearing from you again!

Hello Wendy
I see you were down to Forest on a golf vacation! I used to live out that way, now I am in St Thomas.
By looking at your scores I would tend to say your handicap index would be close to the maximum allowed. For Men that is 36, for women I think, now I could be wrong, that is 40.
Tell whoever is in charge of the tournament that you are a 35 handicap and you will be close.
Have fun in the tournament and welcome to the forum. If you are ever down to London golfing you never know, we might cross fairways, I golf at Westminster Trails. My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
