Trimming Shaft from tip end??
I have a shaft that I am looking to install in my Studio Select to convert it into a belly putter.
Is it possible to trim from the tip? Does it have a certain parallel tip section?
The shaft has a custom shop grip on it and I don't want to have to chop it off.
I imagine it wouldn't be easy to remove a 1-piece belly grip, although I do have the tools to remove grips.
thanks

Does the Studio select take a .370 parallel shaft or a taper? If it's parallel then you can trim from the tip. If not you are out of luck.
Most iron shafts have about a 5" to 7" parallel tip section. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

It would be a .370 parallel shaft.
I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and send it away to the Scotty shop.
Its going to be a little more pricey, but I know they do great work.
The real thing that kills the price of sending a putter to Cameron is the shipping.
They will only do 2nd day Air FedEx to Canada which is $80.
Thanks for the help though.
