Bunker Side by Side
So I was in a tournament earlier today and a strange event happened. It was a par three with bunkers all up the left. I hit into the closest bunker or farthest bunker from the green, while my playing partner hit into the bunker just past mine and it plugged. I hit a terrible bunker shot and plopped it in the bunker where my partner went. the ball ended up resting side by side with my partners. So we decided to move my ball so my partner could hit then I hit from his bunker divot. Was this the right play or should I of raked and placed?

What you should have done was recreate the lie that you had before you lifted your ball. If it was buried you'd have to bury it. You can rake the area to recreate it.
