    Rules question

I've seen many times golfers mark their one or two club lengths with a club and just leave the club as the marker. What is the penalty if you drop your ball and it hits the club that is lying there???

AAA this is not for you to answer

You're too good on these too John.

What if it's a glove that you mark it with or a tee that it hits???

Without checking, I'd say it's the same since those probably qualify as "equipment".

The glove is something worn by the player. It therefore qualifies as equipment under the definition section. The tee, on the other hand, is not considered equipment. "... [A]ny small object, such as a coin or a tee, when used to mark the position of a ball or the extent of an area in which a ball is to be dropped" is not considered equipment.
