Flying into TO yesterday, not much snow around the GTA , but as soon as you start heading towards Ottawa, nothing but white on the ground ... it'll be a few weeks yet

It's not looking good guys----lots of snow yet and the ground is saturated. I am pretty sure it will be at least a month. We did not go south this year---the prices were ridiculous. Sticker prices for food were the same as here plus exchange---golf average price for average courses 75.00 plus exchange and hard to get t-times and rentals prices up 30% plus exchange............here is hoping

Prescott has a lot less snow than Ottawa

The drive down 416, as you pass Kemptville the snow cover reduces

also saw a number of flocks of Canada Geese heading north!!

From what I can see this season is two weeks later than normal.


So if you normally start your season in Syracuse (I think usually you would have played a round by now), add 2 weeks.
So if you normally start your season in Prescott (I think usually you would have a projected opening date by now), add 2 weeks.
So if you normally start your season in the Ottawa region (as in Mapleview, Nation or maybe Champlain), keep dreaming...


I'm still skijoring in the Ottawa region, so I'm thinking 3-4 weeks minimum before we see golf around here.

Anyone ever been down to bluff point in Plattsburgh? They plan to open next week (April 3 depending)
It doesn’t look like much but I may give it a go. 3 hour drive.
Anyone know anywhere closer / more worthwhile to drive 2-3 hours?

Man I give you people credit - driving 3 hours to play golf this time of year is a level of commitment I don’t come anywhere close to having. Hoping the range at our course is open last weekend of April and the course is ready for play first weekend of May.

Opening Date 2023 - A tentative opening date of Thursday April 13th has been set for the 2023 golf season. Unfortunately, power carts will not be available for opening day and the driving range will not be open, (however, the putting greens will be open). Our Superintendent will be checking the course conditions daily and we will let you know as soon as the power carts will be permitted on the course. As this opening date is tentative, we are asking that all tee times be booked online through our website. In the event that we are not able to open on April 13th, it will be much easier to notify those who have booked tee times, if they have been booked online as we will have access to everyone's email addresses.

The tee sheet for tee times on Thursday April 13th will open for members to book tee times on Wednesday April 5th at 9pm through our website booking portal.

Non-members will be able to begin booking tee times for opening day on Friday April 7th at 9pm.

The Slammer Tour has started updating it's outdoor schedule, Prescott first as usual (on the 14th), and Pineview on the 20th!!

Smuggler’s Glen will be open for public play on Friday April 14th.
Tee time reservations are available online only at https://glenhouseresort.com/golf/green-fees-specials/

Spring rates run until May 4th. Public players may book up to 7 days in advance.

Monday to Thursday - $50* walking - $70* with cart
Friday to Sunday - $55* walking - $75* with cart

The Mapleview booking system now seems to be taking reservations for play as of 8 am Wednesday, April 12th.
