Driver shaft tipping for a three wood

I splintered the tip of an older driver shaft and I was wondering if I would be able to tip trim the shaft for a three wood.

I know it's possible but any guidelines around how much stiffer it will make the shaft?

It's an Adila Vs Proto 70-X if that helps. I play an X flex in my driver but I'm worried that tipping it too much will make it too stiff/unplayable.

Likely for a 3 wood Aldila recommends 1/2" tipping so that it plays the same with the heavier head. if your trim is an inch then it would play stiffer I think by 1/2 flex

I am abidextrous, I once golfed right-handed and now I shoot left-handed just as badly!
