Its almost here - see new SPRING OPENINGS forum to post your course opening there
Drove by Casselview this morning. The snow has been removed from all the tarps covering the greens. Looks like just a thin layer of snow left before tarps are removed. Halleluiah
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I've had a timer on my website counting down to the day the season started last year.
20 days : 6 hours : 28 minutes
Hoping the snow melts faster. Last year at this time Emerald had the driving range open even with snow on the ground.

Syracuse will like have a course or 2 open early, the temperature there will be in the double digits for the most part in the next 2 weeks and webcams down no snow on the ground already

As soon as the snow is off my side driveway pad mu net will go up and my indoor swings will be a thing of the past.

Correct me if i`m wrong here but i have May 21st as the first day we were permitted to golf last year because the "science" indicated it was now safe to do so. Can anyone confirm when the first day was last year?
Maybe i`m thinking of the previous year or just losing it

You always hit a good shot on 18 to keep you coming back.

Sorta coming back to me now, opened for a short time as you mentioned. Either way, at the rate the white stuff was melting yesterday...could be out there very soon! Could be dry-ish by Easter,or sooner!

. The "old mans" disease caught me or I would have already been there--better late than never

Drove by Cedar hill today and still had quite a bit of snow. Assuming weather stay hot and the rain over the weekend, it may look like we starting around same time last year.

If you don't mind the 1hr drive (from Barrhaven) Crooked Creek in Athens Ontario is planning to open March 26, they are about 15min past Smith Falls, bring your golf boots :o)
Look them up on Facebook for info and to book your tee time.

He opens early and closes late in the year.
