    Dave Powell

    Anyone knows what kind of teacher is Dave Powell for golf lessons? I know he is at the Marshes. Any comment would be welcome. Thanks

    I've had excellent results with Dave. I would recommend him highly.

    Hard to get a hold of though...

    Great guy, used to work his wife and got to know him personally. Very easy to get along with and a nice method of teaching.

    Took a series of lessons with him last year and was very pleased with the results. He totally rebuilt my swing, so that it was nice and consistent by the end of last year. (then came winter and it all went to hell in a basket, but that another story

    He won't tell you explicitely what's wrong with your swing (I guess you could ask, but I didn't , but would give you one or two things to work on instead, with ample explanation of what it is supposed to accomplish.

    Not sure if he follows one particular system, but in my case he was teaching the upright swing.

    My only complaint is that, as Colby mentioned, he's hard to get ahold of, which is the only reason I stopped seeing him this year. I guess for the same reason the lessons were usually short and to the point, around 15-30 minutes (he only charges by the time spent, so a 3-hour package will last a long time).

    Also, this year they got a brand new video system at the Marshes.
