    Callaway online trade up?

    Hi,

I was thinking about using the Callaway online purchase and trade in (as GolfTown trade in doesn't apply to Callaway).

Has anyone used this Callaway trade up before? Experience with it?

    Curious about
Cost to ship clubs to them.
Taxes/Duty as I assume it is coming from states.
    Experience with the whole process.

Only reason I am considering it is that they will buy back a bunch of clubs from me to help offset the cost of new irons.

    Thanks

Just an idea but i have sold a few clubs to Play it Again Sports in Orleans in the past. They are easy to deal with and you may find something that they have in stock(used) that you could trade for. I dont deal with Callaway anymore as they charge too much for shipping and wont give you a whole lot more than what you can get locally. If you cant find what you are looking for at Play it Again, you can try GolfAvenue in Montreal. They wont buy your old clubs but great selection of clubs. Very good service, even a 30 day money back guarantee if you dont like the clubs. I have sent 2 sets of irons back, no problem. Keep your money in Canada. Best of luck.

Yes, they are offering (on paper) a bit more than locally but once you factor in shipping and possible fees on new clubs, all that extra money is gone.

I've used GolfAvenue before. They are great.

But in this case, I really want to decrease the club count at home.
Might just trade at Golftown and see what happens.

    Thanks

I used it back in 2012ish, when the dollar was at Par. It was great, great service and warranty on used clubs even. I've always thought I would do it again, but the dollar just is not worth it now. Like the others have posted, best off to find it locally after you facter in shipping, customs and USD->CDN
