Caddie in club match play
Not sure where to put this post.
A question to clubs running their match play championships.
Are contestants allowed caddies?
I wonder this because of of this scenario. A low handicapper is playing a high handicapper. Full handicaps in play. There is cash on the line for the winner.
A high handicapper in my opinion is more prone to errors on the golf course such as; misreading a putt, incorrect club selection, course management etc.
If the high handicapper gets the best green reader/course manager in the club to caddie is that within the spirit of the competition? This caddie is probably worth a few strokes in a round.
At our club caddies are allowed.

Caddies are allowed at our club and the guys who finished 1st and 2nd both used them.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!
