Cool... So all we need is a red sweater and the ability to turn on speeza as soon as he steps on the ice right? (just kidding..kinda)

That was a painful last 15 mins to watch... But good for the Bs, they put up a pretty solid effort, in the last period of a back-to-back, when it counted.

Still even sens fans know deep down, the leafs surpassed expectations, and the big players answered a lot of haters.

Good effort, and hopefully a sign of things to come.

Hope the sens bring that kind of effort against the pens.

that was an epic comeback by a B's team that knows how to dig deep. Leafs showed well , I am not a Kessel fan but he proved he can play both ways when he wants to & JVR came to life in that series......Leafs officially have a number 1 goalie.

Just wondering if last night's results means the end of the posts from

Anybody else catch that seismic activity last night. Shook the picture of Ace and Gary right off the wall. I can only attribute that size of a tremor to the Leaf fans that live in our fair city jumping off the Leaf bandwagon. Not surprising actually other than I expected it to be an event that should have happened late last week. The upside is that there are a ton of young Leaf fans that will no longer have to be embarrassed by their fathers or uncles wearing blue and white the rest of the playoffs. They have a five month reprieve until the Stanley Cup fantasies of Leaf fans across the nation fill the skies like smog over the hallowed grounds of Thurso all with the same level of stench.

I can’t imagine that there is a worse leader wearing a C on their jersey than Elisha Cuthbert’s boy. At $6.5 M a year wearing a C you’ve got to expect more. Not sure what to say about the fact that JG Pageau outscored the second coming of some former great Leaf scoring icon, Nazem Kadri, 3 to 1 all while playing two less games.

The Leafs made the playoffs in a year where there weren’t enough games for their customary second half fold in the regular season. Not sure that them making the playoffs is a sign that they are moving in the right direction. Their highest paid forward at $5.5M had zero goals, two points and was -10 in 7 games.

They have 12 players under contract for next year with $19.5M in cap space. They will certainly buyout Komisaerk which will boost that cap space closer to $24M. Phaneuf the only regular on D is signed along with Gardiner and Liles. They will want to re-sign Gunnarson and probably Franson both of which will want in the $3M to $3.5M range. Up front they have Kadri and Bozak and it is probably safe to assume that it will take at least $10M to sign the two of them. That will give them 16 players under contract and roughly $7M in cap space. They’ll need 7 players at $1M apiece which is unlikely. Colton Orr is $1M.

Thankfully for MLSE the Leaf fans will continue to drink the Kool-Aid and will continue to accept progress in the category of mediocrity.
