    Changing weights in my Scotty

I just bought a 2nd set of weights for my Scotty Del Mar. The problem is that when I try to remove the original 15 gram weights I am unable with a reasonable effort to get them to loosen. With other situations like this I would normally use something like Liquid Wrench to loosen the seal that might have developed in the threads. Of course, I am hesitant to do this as I'm not sure if I could damage the finish and I believe the original weights have a rubber gasket that may not like the chemical.

Any hints on how to address this?

DId you use the socket wrench adapater or the hand held wrench? I twice had a similar problem, due to the lock-tite the shop uses with new putters. When I switched from the handheld tool to the the adaptor that fits into my socket wrench. It took some elbow grease but then lossened and came out easily. Good luck. Andy

I used a cheapo wrench I bought on the web. Those socket head wrenches are very expensive. Get what you pay for, I guess!

I have the SC version of this, and it definitely makes things a lot easier. I have had no issues with the weights after switching. I had a cheap hand turned wrench which went into the recycling bin.
