Five reasons Tiger could win Masters

In the hysteria that followed his seventh win at Bay Hill after 924 days without a victory, to suggest Tiger Woods is anything but a foregone conclusion as 2012 Masters champ causes jaws to drop and either glares or sympathetic stares at the poor soul who uttered such drivel.

As Frank Nobilo said on Sunday, Tiger has the innate ability to stay calm when others get nervous

If he can play like he did on the weekend he will be tough to beat though putting is key at Augusta. Fact, he has not finished worse than T-8 since 2005.

No doubt his swing is solid at the moment, and he's putting well. The main problem I see is that the terrain is going to put a lot of stress on his heel and knee. My money's on McIlroy.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

I'd say it's 50/50 right now that Tiger wins the Masters. The young guns factor is highly overrated.

I think it all depends on what he needs to do every day. If he need to force his game because McIlroy or some other player has got the lead and running with it then he will be wild. But if he has the opportunity to stay patient then watch out. That is when he is at his best.

I have a bottle of single malt bet that Tiger goes without a major in 2012. I am worried about Augusta, as I think that is his best opportunity. I'd love to see Rory, Phil or Ernie win it.
