    Question Ottawa Golf Club

I'm thinking about joining the Ottawa golf club.
Was wondering if a lone golf member can join another twosome at a teetime or can you only book times in pairs or a foursome.

A single can join a group of 2 or three.
A single cannot take a foursome spot. That's all.

I am experiencing the same problem. I have no one to play with this summer. My two buddies have moved to the West Coast. I hate coming to a golf course by myself. It almost makes me feel like I'm beggin to be included in a group.

That is what is keeping me away from joining.

Remember, there is the Club, for discount golf, and the Tour for socializing and competition.
On the Tour we will be getting together as a group for our events, and I am sure new groups of golf buddies will be popping up from that.

I wish I would have won the free memberships from the OAC Golf Show.. oh well. :o)

Since a single can't take a foursome spot, what IF (big IF), there are no other players willing to fill a slot. Can a single take it. For example, on Monday, my boss gives me Tuesday afternoon off (boy that would be something), and I want to play cedarhill. I notice that there's a start time fully available (all 4 spots), can I put my name down?

    Please light my lantern... Thanks

The courses will not permit us to allow a single to take a foursome spot. A single must join a twosome or a threesome, just as it would be if you called by phone.

    Thumbs up welcome

It will be a Great golf year in 2002.

With all the hype and talk in the forum this winter about golf, and the new OttawaGolf Tour, we should be enjoying ourselves very very soon.

I have posted a thread in POLLS, asking "when do you play". I hope this will help those looking to find groups to play with in OttawaGolf.
