Gatineau's conditions
Anyone with updates about Gatineau's GC conditions?

Played Easter Monday and greens were slow, and bumpy with big holes still. Fairways were brown but not too wet.

No problem. Greens were the wors part as the aeration holes had not filled up. Decent layout, decent track needs time to mature IMO but for 20$ on CG was worth it.

the dryest course ive played this year. greens were full of holes and impossible to putt, but in decent shape overall.. not sure if it's still on, but they have the buy 1 round play another for free within 30 days if you're not with a discount golf club.

I played there Sunday morning, fairways are very wet and some greens have winter burn and lots of greens with aeration holes and sand.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

Played there last saturday and got a couple fairways where I took a regular sized divot and hit rocks... put a small chip on my 8 iron. Nice layout, needs alot of work! greens have some winter kill, and still lots of irrigation holes not filled in. Can't wait to see that clubhouse!

im wondering if that course hates 8 irons.. cleaned my clubs before i played eQuinelle and noticed a small chunk off the bottom of my 8 iron as well, not bad but enough to annoy me..
as for layout, i agree.. i love it, and in a few years it's gonna be a great course but right now it's not in the best of conditions.. lots of halfassed patchwork done.. maybe next year when richcraft takes it back over theyll inject some miore money into it, but as for now it's pretty much like champlain..

I love the layout and course as well and it's very close to downtown, very convenient.
Yes it needs to grow in and mature.Obviously you're not a golfer.

I played with Carl, although it was last Friday and not Saturday, but I think it's a day he would like to forget anyways. Like Carl said, course looks good but I am worried about the actual quality of the course. The fairways appear to have been sodded with applying enough top soil. Lots of rocks and pebbles in and under the grass. Greens were still punched but a little more puttable except for maybe one or two that had significant winter kill. Holes 12 and 13 come to mind. All in all it was worth the 20ish dollars on RM but not much more due to lots of work left to do. I dont know how they will remedy to the thin fairways, not like they can dump an extra 6 inches of top soil over the existing fairways but I would be worried about this problem!
