Looks like Burrows saved the day.
Devil's Advocate: The Canucks are better off by surviving game 7 than they would have been by sweeping Chicago in 4 straight. Discuss. When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

no doubt rich, nothing like a little adversity to bring the team together, especially for a team that hasn't won before. What doesn't kill you builds character and these boys have a lot of character right now.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I also agree BUT I wonder if this adversity was too early in the series. I’m hoping they did not burn themselves out against Chicago. It’s only going to get harder unless they can finish Nashville fast.
Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

I'm hoping for Detroit and the weakest teams in the other series to advance.
Detroit/Nashville, Tampa/Boston.

This is going to be a very short series. Nashville is impotent offensively.

However if their goalie keeps playing the way he did, it could be interesting...

Detroit got jobbed last night by the officiating.

I fell asleep after the 2nd period, but from what I saw I'd say the Sharks dominated Detroit. I don't know if the ice was bad but Detroit's passing was horrible, maybe 9 days rest made them rusty. Howard stood on his head and almost stole a game for us. Datsyuk had some unbelievable moves, he deked Murray out of his jock strap a few times only to miss the goal. He doesn't have Crosby's finish. I'm sick of Abdelkader's flopping around like a soccer player. It's embarassing.
I think San Jose is just a little bit better than Detroit this year. Last year's officiating was horrible, last night's was below average but I don't think it cost Detroit the game. I hope we can steal game 2 on Sunday. !!!!!!

I just don't like that Abdelkader get's pasted into the board from behind and it's no call. And the he makes the same hit on Joe "I can only score of the PP" Pavelski and tweet 2min.
I'm really getting sick of the inadvertent High Sticking calls as well.

Nashville reminds me of the Habs from last year. Unbelievable play between the pipes and an opportunistic attack. Vancouver need to keep grinding and not lose their patience offensively.
Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

And how about Tampa. This team is great defensively and has lots of punch offensively when they open it up. I keep betting against them but they are always there.
The Bruins-Flyers game should be a good one tonight.Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

All I can say is, Lidstrom retire already! We need that 7 million cap space to sign Weber.

Clowe still was upset about Kronwall's open-ice shoulder check that leveled Dany Heatley in the first period of Game 3. A shaken Heatley returned in the second period and is fine, but Clowe still wanted some retribution.
"Did you see what he did to Dany Heatley?" Clowe said on Saturday. "I just wish I was lined up against Kronwall."

Kronwall is the most dangerous open ice hitter since Konstantinov.
