Rainy, wet, windy, cold, shaggy greens, temp holes, snow in the rough,
I imagine it's like this everywhere for the next two weeks but hey, we're golfing!!!

Surprised to see that Meadows is NOT on the April calendar for opening date. Is that significant, or an oversight?

The greens are cut and roll alright (still a bit bumpy from aeration)
The rest of the course is pretty soggy, even the fairways.
Plays quite a bit longer when you're not getting any roll out there.Even I've never heard of me

How are the conditions at Mapleview?
Even I've never heard of me

Maplevuew conditions were great. The cart paths are probably the worst. The greens are cut and alhough a little bumpy are quite puttable. The fairways, teeboxes and greens are all dry with the exception of the 12th tee box (par 3 in the shade), a bit of runoff by the 8th green and a few minor soggy area. We were hitting of dry land all day with no plugged balls.
You'll enjoy tomorrow's round. It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

Casselview conditions were o.k,not great just o.k Greens were not as good as last year at this time and fairways wet.Now the price was 39.00 but you get a 20.00 rebate on your next game so it is well worth it.

Mapleview was in much better condition than Casselview and Calabogie this weekend IMO. Most of the course was dry and playable. The greens were cut and rolling better than the other 2 courses. Definitely the best out of the 3 I've played so far.
Even I've never heard of me

Falcon Ridge was dry and playable. Only 10 holes open, but they were only charging $22 + tax when I went at 4:30 today.
Casselview is always soaking wet in the spring, but with nice greens. I love the course but usually wait until May before going there.

Thank you for the positive comments about Mapleview. I hope the forcast doesn't scare you guys away this week. If you get rained out at Mapleview, we will give you a rain check that you can use at any time. We want you to always have a great experience. If you think that we are in good shape in the spring, you should try us out in the summer when our conditions are in top shape.

Dragonfly wasn't the worst yesterday. Obviously pretty wet, especially on the back 9, and I can see it being a lot nicer once the grass starts growing (my first time out there). Place was packed, but you gotta think that playing this early in the season does some serious damage to the course.
Recommend taking an extra club on most shots, not a ton of roll!

I was out there Sunday for the first time in years with my wife. Had a great day finishing the 18 holes in about 3.5 hrs with a cart. Anyone know the conditions of the Quebec courses (champlain/vieux moulins)?
How is Nation usually at opening?
Thanks.

Casselview was more wet today than this weekend but the greens were rolling a bit faster.

Nation?
Nation has a reputation for being dry early. I understand they have a "sand" base, which drains extremely well and their layout, with it's many creeks and gullys speeds the draining and drying process. I've played there in past Springs with snow on the ground and came out with dry feet.
