DO NOT BUY A GENIE.
chamberlin are the best.
they make craftsman, and lift master.
most companies charge about 125.00 plus parts {punched angle}
when you do get one repost i can save you 25$ and supply the angle
plus ill tune up your door.
Cheers Pat
if you want quiet buy a belt drive.
1/2 hp or 3/4hp there is no difference except price. it pushes and pulls.the spring does the lifting.Chicks dig it.

Forgot to mention if your door is 8 feet tall you need an 8ft boom.
Chicks dig it.

Thanks Felix.
3 jack if you can take some picts of the door closed it sounds like a broken spring is it a 16 ft door? one spring may still be working.the other one will be split in 2.
I no longer work for that company as they were very dishonest.
if the spring is okay i can fix it. there is a company that sells springs in ottawa but id have to find them.most garage door companies charge 75.00 to show up.
springs run from about 45$ for little extension springs left and right of the door.
torsion springs are above the door and run from 80.00-125.00. if you have a pair of torsions they will replace both as the other one is going to break soon.
let me know either way.
CheersChicks dig it.
