    New Backyard Toy!!

So I have a buddy that lives here at my place in the spare room.. He is a CPGA professional and is always adding to his collection of tools to give lessons etc.. Anyway he picked this up over the winter and we put it up today.. Its gonna stay there all summer.. I just came in from hitting 50 balls. I think I love it. I think the best part is I am going to start teaching my 3 year to play this summer and we can go hit balls in the back yard at night

Nice Lance, and the fact that you have a CPGA Pro living with you doesn't hurt either

Two things.. no, three things..maybe four

    1) eventually the balls will make a hole in the net. You may want to consider what the balls will hit when the hole is made.
    2) the frame is made of abs pipe. This will break when hit hard enough with a ball.
    3) You may want to double up on the netting where the hitting area is.
    4) your really going to enjoy a place to work on your swing... sweet

The hitting area is already double netted.. The net is designed for all kinds of sports. The pipes shouldn't get hit unless you hit a horrible shot.. The ones on the side are 8 inches from the net and when the net is hit it doesn't go anywhere near that far back.. Its actually really solid.

We have the same one at work. We had to quadruple the net and the piping is chipped and broke. We had to replace a pipe or two. I was able to get some heavy duty netting and even that has holes in it. But.... I know the pipe on your net will only be in danger if someone else is hitting in it

I think you better practice lifting boxes, not golf.

Nice net.. I gotta have one. Are there bylaws for having such structure if you live near downtown area? I'm sure my retiree neighbours would appreciate that
