You will never see golf take off in india (per capita). There are waaaaaaaay to many poor people in india. They say 3% of the population controls over 98% of the wealth. How insane is that? Land in india has gone through the roof with population booms, development ect. I suppose if 3% of the population were to play golf in india that is still more than the entire canadian population. I doubt it will happen. The public courses I've heard of in india are jsut as expensive as the ones out there. The make much less out there (even the professionals).
