gropper, I know you are looking for a tip stiff shaft, the YS-6 is not a tip stiff shaft.

When i looked at the specs it says Medium to firm, for $15 I'll give it a shot!

At Lake placid on the weekend it was a little wet and pretty much all my drives would land and then back up, i could see my pitch mark about a foot in front of the ball!

Hmmm, I just checked as well. I didn't know that. I do know there are actually "stiff" tipped shafts as well. Perhaps the overall feel of YS shafts are soft, hence why I thought it wasn't stiffer tipped. But like you said, at $15 its not a bad experiment.

I use this shaft ( R ) in one of my drivers. In fact, it's the one I always seem to go back to after trying multiple shafts !! Trust me, this is a soft tip shaft ! I can't recall exactly how much it is tipped but it is signicantly more than what is recommended. 44" long, 243 CPM's and still very tip responsive.
