Tuscon Arizona
Just wondering if anyone out there has any reliable info on monthly rentals or who to contact. I have checked a lot of websites but they are mainly the larger operations that want to sell complete packages including the shoe shine. We can do that. We are looking for a clean 1 bedroom efficiency unit somewhere in the suburbs of Tucson or Scottsdale for the month of March. I am sure we can make our own golf deals when we get there. If any knows we can't please let me know. Many thanks guys---ifwe have any room left your welcome my wife said to put this smilie in. OUCH

Hmmm...I wish I would have asked the people I golfed with in Scottsdale. They were staying at a hotel near the casino, but they said they were going to Tuscon for two weeks in a rental condo. DAMN!
You could ty calling Lori Greene at Golf Zoo. Her number is 1-888-867-6921. Her office is in Phoenix and she might be able to help you out. That's who I booked through for my vacation, but she was very helpful and probably knows who does rental units.
Hope that helps.

That's great EG -- I will do that--let you know how it works out. Will probably be heading your way next summer--maybe we can get a game.

For sure. I'll be in Ottawa in August for two weeks. I'll be bringing my clubs with me so perhaps we can get a game then too.
Let me know how it goes with Lori. She was very helpful so she should be able to point you in the right direction.
I'll set something up out here whenever you're in Edmonton next summer.

Hi EG--I talked to Lori and she said I was too early to book and suggested I try the For Rent By Owner site. What we ended up doing was using the Yahoo search engine and found an Arizona Vacation Forum. We put our wants in a thread and 10 minutes later we were in business.
We ended up with a 2 bedroom 700 sq foot guest home for 1000.00. I am really pleased with the owners reception--he said if we ended up a couple of days early--come ahead as we will be his first guests this year.
Thanks EG--hope to see you this summerDoes the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

EG when we get all the info etc etc I will put a package together for you----it's funny we just heard from a friend of Diane's (my wife)---she said exactly the same thing. She also said not to drive in by the main highway but to take the scenic route through Flafstaff. This is starting to sound like an awesome trip

I was in Sedona a few years ago and loved it. Didn't get to golf but really enjoyed the town. If you have time, go for a quick cruise on Pink Jeep Tours(sunset tour)...looks kind of tacky but those supped-up jeeps can take you to some pretty cool places. Also, some interesting trails if you like hiking. Watch out for the cowboy killer cactus!

Thanks Bobblehead---someone else mentioned the jeep tours and said they were pretty good---Right now I'm looking for another month around Tombstone--if the price is right we are gone by the 22 of January---if not only 62 days left

My wife and I went to Tuscan a few years ago and went to Tombstone for the day. It was cool seeing were the shootout at OK Corral took place, we went to see the re-enactment but it was cheesy. We also did the Sedona thing and took the jeep ride/horseback riding package, we still talk about that, it was great. Sedona is a fantastic place. At that time it was the only town in the USA that forced McDonalds to install a small 'earth-tone' coloured Big M sign instead of there huge yellow signs. You wouldn't even notice the McDonald's on the main street. Grand Canyon was also great to see.

Big Mac - give me an update on the mansion that I saw being built on the road to the cool little church built on top of a cliff in Sedona. You can view the house from the Church...here is a pic of it I took a few year back.
Should be a great trip...I envy you.
