Nhl 2007/2008
So which non-traditional hockey market will win the Cup next year? I think some place warm, it has seemed to work the last three seasons.

Interesting point. There's probably something to it - being away from the media and the constant pressure of celebrity that hockey markets bring. You have to figure there are a lot of demands on your time and it has to be draining and difficult to deal with scrutiny of the press and fans constantly. When you're not in the fish bowl you just have one less thing distracting you, bothering you. With that out you can play for each other so to speak, its probably great for team-building.

With the Canadian $ probably at par with the US $ next season, the Canadian teams should be able to do a bit more. Vancouver, Calgary, and Ottawa will have a shot at putting contenders out there. Gotta hope...

You're close............a bunch of Ottawa based Laugh fans finally woke up and realized that if they ever want to see their team win a cup they needed to cheer for a new team.
Seriously though, Melynk was saying that the deep cup run this year has meant a huge bump in season ticket sales and that the team was looking at capping the number of seasons tickets that it sold because they want to ensure that tickets will be available for single game for for the multi-game packages that they offer.
