My First Hole in One!!...playing by myself...argh.
Well after 22 years of playing this game somewhat seriously, I managed to notch my first Ace today.
It happened on my first round of the year while playing my first round ever on this course.
The course was Montebello and the hole was number 17.
I hit a 3 iron from the 200 yard blue tees which started out a little right of the flag as I lost sight of it in the glare of the sun..I saw it come down directly in line with the pin at which point I turned towards the cart and began to head off. As I drove up towards the hole I noticed that I didnt see it on the green which was when I first started to realize what might have happened.
As I parked and got out of the cart I took a very quick and nervous look over the back of the green which is where I expected to see my ball. As soon as I didn't see it there my heart began to race. I placed my hands over my eyes as blinders so that I only focused on the hole as I began walking towards it. When I got up to the hole, I took a nervous peek into the cup and there it was...my Taylor Made Penta ball was sitting right at the bottom of the cup as though it had been there a thousand times before.
I immediately dropped to my knees and flopped on to my back and lay there for a minute soaking it all in while the sun beat down on me...what a feeling!!
Because this was the last ball in my bag I didnt want to risk losing it left on 18 so I skipped the final hole and headed straight in to actually tell somebody.
I realized right away that I will always have to defend this to others but I know deep down inside exactly what happened and I will never forget this day and this shot.
Attached is the pic of the ball at the bottom of the hole along with my 3-iron right next to it.
Wow!

Nice shot! Hopefully next one happens with witnesses
You only get out of something what you put into it

Yesterday at Gatineau playing with a good friend, she hit a 7 wood from 140 on the 16th.It looked like a great shot right off the tee,it hit at the front of the green ,roled up to the pin hit the pin and dipped for a second and bounced out to within 2 feet for her birdie. The look on her face was priceless........

Beauty! Great course to get it on too!

Congrats... and a real one too... wow 200 yards...
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.
