Is anyone interested in playing golf this weekend? The forecast for Saturday is sunny and 8 degrees. Let's hope that Sunday is just as fine. The season is not over yet!

Do you have a course in mind? I am not keen on Falcon Bridge. How about Nation? Does anyone know what kind of shape their greens are in? Alternatives?

I made another thread to find out about conditions at Nation....If I dont hear anything soon I will call the course get a time near 11 on Saturday. If you guys would like to play somewhere else let me know. We can probably wait till later this afternoon to make a time. Sound good?

Let me suggest that we get to Nation by 10. We are likely to have to wait. Their prime time is between 10 and 11. As for the greens, someone in the pro shop just told me that the greens had been aerated a month ago. As such, they are quite good right now. One final point. Our foursome will consist of Lefty Lucas, Farzin, Pinshark and yours truly. If you can't make it, please let me know. There may be others who would like to join in, if one of you can't make it.

Sounds like fun. You guys "walkers" or cart types (no offence). If we have to wait then we'll just turn up the a/c on the cart. I'll bring my pull cart just in case. I don't play well enough to bet, but I'll bring a roll of nickles just in case.

I am walking so if McGoo takes a power cart you might have to wait for us walkers ahead although I am sure that the time saved on a power cart will be quickly used up by looking for McGoo's balls in the woods

Reply to leftylucas - My experience, especially this time of year with the "cart path only" rules, is that the walkers will be waiting for the cart people, but who cares, golf in Ottawa on Nov 25th, after the Grey Cup, BONUS!

You now have my undivided attention. Despite any external indications to the contrary, I am: 1) very competitive and 2) I hate to lose . On the other hand, it usually takes me 9 holes to start feeling comfortable on the course when I haven't played in a few days. The bottom line: I may be a bit rusty, so there is a good chance that I may be paying you. Of course, if we decide to dance this dance again on Sunday, I may be quite a bit sharper. Are you in for Sunday too?
