Stepless and frequency matched. Internally designed to reduce vibration. Other shafts are often sorted by weight. They went belly up and taken over by True temper.

    True Temper took over?

That's going to be quite the monopoly.

I love my Project-X shafts in my 695CB's. I haven't played non-rifled shafts for the last 5 years.

true temper now has the " black golds " to compete with project x's... they even have the same finish and stepless... also quite nice, and a bit cheaper

    Rifle shafts

What does 6.8 mean on Rifle shafts?

I am having a hard time finding anything about specs for Rifle Shafts on the net.

    Thanks,
    Sean

Well, the last time I played a non-rifle shaft was over 5 years ago and the steel shaft market has changed since then. I can't really give you an accurate opinion on "if they make a big difference" .

It means you have some very stiff iron shafts on your hands. Think somewhere between X and XX flex. Hope you got lots of muscles.

Good find! Although I don't entirely agree with their frequency fitting by swing speed. My swing speed is over 100 and I wouldn't want anything more than a 6.0 in my irons.

That being said, my 6 iron carry is pretty matched up with being between a 6.0 and a 6.5.

That chart is about bang on for me. I am playing 5.0s and hit my 6 iron 165 nominal. I've always thought that if I were to fine tune them I would go to 5.2 or something like that. They are indeed very nice shafts but anything over 6.0 is getting very stiff and starts to feel like rebar. Mind you my driver SS is 100mph with a smooth tempo and I always tend towards a softer flex if I have to make a choice.
