What would you listen to on the way to play golf?
I'm curious what type of music would be in your cd/tape/8 track in your car on the way to play golf. For me either Pearl Jam, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson or Steve Earle depending on my mood. Anyone.

KC and the Sunshine Band: Do a little dance... Get Down Tonight!
On my Tape deck
Peter Gabriel - Pink Floyd- Elton John - Robert Palmer - Roxy Music - Talking Heads
On my CD
Collective Soul - Creed and all the 80's 90s music I now have on CDs, which I like and my kids don't
Oh wait, I did not play golf in the 8 track days
Just say no to disco anyway

...well, on the way TO the course is usually pretty early in the morning for me, so I tend to leave the Black Sabbath, Nickleback and Joe Satriani at home and instead opt for some smooth jazz or new age music.
Favourite "going to the golf course" music is probably by Afro-Celt Sound System - which (as the name suggests) is a blend of African and Celtic music. Most golf fanatics (like me) have probably heard it without knowing it - it is the music used on the recent Taylor Made commercials.

I listen to certain songs to get me pumped.....
Bad To The Bone, Song 2 (WOOHOO), and Crazy Train just to name a few. But in general I listen to anything other than the forecast!

Music to calm the nerves
For something totally different, I listen to a classical album featuring Wynton Marsalis and Kathleen Battle!

I'm with mpare on this one...
radio - CBC 2 - if you don't fall asleep on the way to the golf course your tempo will be great when you get there.

On the way to the course I like music with an upbeat tempo, usually the way I feel in anticipation of a good game, however too many times on the way home a good old hurting country music song seems to fit.
Tee it up, knock it down the middle.

Dire Straits - Telegraph road. Gets me calm enough to keep from killing the ball, for a while at least. By the time I get to the back 9 it wears off and I add 15-20 strokes to the front score :crying
Krolik.

I have that Dire Straits CD maybe I'll try that one next time. Had the Mettalica Black CD on going to my last game and didn't hit a fairway the whole game. Funny thing though, when I was on the driving range prior I hit the Big Stick straight even though I didn't feel totally comfortable standing over the ball. Then I literally marched onto the course. Left rough, right rough, left rough, etc.........

Eminem, Creed, Rush, Korn, Tragically Hip.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

I listen to Metallica, Guns N Roses, Rush, etc. I tried listening to softer music (e.g. kenny G) as suggested but I ended up trying to crush the ball on the first tee (imagining the ball with long flowing hair).
