Does anyone recommend or know if anyone in Kingston uses video with their lessons?

    Thanks

No but you can get alot of the benefits jsut having someone film you. I did it yesterday and realized that my hands were too far forward. After that it felt kinda odd but oddly the ball went much truer to what I was hoping. IT's odd how in golf if it feels right its wrong and vice versa. I'd ttry that before paying some local for lessons.

Talk to Dale Pedersen at The Landings. I took indoor lessons from him last winter and he had a video camera he used a few times. I don't know if they still have their indoor mats set up though, but you can try.

That is really cheap...Is that with a CPGA professional?

I'm not sure if he is or not, I'm just starting out so it really doesn't make that much of a difference to me. Just about anyone could give me lessons and I would be learning something.

Steve Oostrum runs Canada’s Favorite Golf Schools at the Garrison Golf Club and Westbrook Golf Club, both located in Kingston, Ontario. He is full of energy and is an excellent player in his own right.
Aim at nothing and you will hit it every time.

I recommend Oostrum as well. Great player, better guy.

Video is not for everyone, however. If you are not a visual learner then seeing video will not help you, only confuse you. A good instructor can tell in just a few questions whether you are a verbal, visual, or kinesthetic learner. This is the most productive way to get a player to change their habits.

    Blowing my mind

I imagine my swing looks like a cross between Miller Barber and Lee Trevino. I do not ever want to see myself on video. It might ruin me for life!
