Lie Angle Adjustment
Hi Guys,
Recently purchased some TA irons and I would like to get the lie angle checked/adjusted. Would this be a job for Don @ Artisan? Anyone know approximately how much this would cost? Thanks.Rich

That depends, what model did you pick up?

Unless of course they are gunmetal irons. That is why I ask, because nobody around here will bend or adjust lie/loft angles if the irons are gunmetal. They can be checked but won't be adjusted. They'll have to go back to Cleveland for adjustments in that case.

Oops, I thought TA meant Cleveland Tour Action line of irons. My mistake, must still have Cleveland on the brain. Pretty sure anybody can do work on those irons.

A place like Golfworks has a price per club but will give a discount if you get your set done. What that price is I can't remember. And as for Artisan, I don't know if Don does the same thing with his pricing. Best thing to do is call around. Maybe you can swing a deal that way. PM me guys I can give you tips on how to determine what you need to do with your lies. Loft I can't help you with that but I can save you some time with the lies.

lie angle
I think that Don charges $6.00 per club. It might be $4.00 if you do a set of 3 - PW. Give him a call.
Thanks

Most places usually charge between $4-6 per club. Golfworks will also do bending to your specs. I'll be picking up a L&L machine myself within the next couple of months just to save myself the trouble of running around each time I get a new set.

Artisan is $6/club and $10/club if you do lie and loft. Just had mine done before Xmas.

can one of the clubmakers on board to confirm that adjusting the lie angle e.g bending an iron 2 degrees flat does NOT change the loft?
Thanks

Can Tommy Armour irons be bent? I seem to recall (reading a post somewhere on the Net) that it cannot easily be done (without damage or breaking) on these irons.

Your Tommy's are safe with me Law ! Adjusted 4 lies and 2 lofts, no problem. The driver is ready and all that's left to do is to shorten and swingwieght them. Let me know when you will need them.

Thanks for the responses...I needed to settle an argument.
I'm not up to date on the technical stuff.....on the 1/2 cpm change in frequency response... does that mean club flex is more(stiffer) or less?

Depens on which way the club was adjusted but between you and I that should be the least of your concern as 1/2 cpm is a mouse fart in the desert
