    Sandpoint golf course

Anybody played there recently, years ago it was a real good course, new owner with not much money brought it down big time. Last year I booked a tee times they overcharged me at the course, had a hard time to get my money back and only 2 fairways had green grass on them.

I'm playing Sandpoint Monday and will try to remember to report back.
You always hit a good shot on 18 to keep you coming back.

Only played 12 holes due to Rain and then Lightning in the distance. Greens were in good shape. Rolling in the medium range for the first 7 holes, but can't really comment on the last 5 after the rain(s). Tee boxes were somewhat beat up, but could always find a patch of grass. Fairways were as always, a bit on the thin side, but knowing that we just play winter rules and move to grass.

Overall it was ok, especially for the price.

They told us when we paid that with the sudden storm developments they would be calling us in if there was any indication of danger. We bailed after #7, went to the clubhouse and waited until it passed. Went bck out and played 8 through 12 at which point they called everyone in. Radar showed popup Storms all around, so it was a good call even if the storms fizzled. We got rainchecks. Either 9 holes with cart, or 1/2 cart for 18 holes.

Depends on your expectations. As along as it's not too hard to find a spot in the tee box and the greens plus the area around the greens are good, I'm pretty happy.

The greens were good, the short grass aprons were good, and the cuts around the greens were fine ... some deep rough (around the easier holes), and some shorter rough.

Maybe my standards are too low ?? ;-)
