Wow....only 160 Acres used out of 320.....maybe someone will expand it to 3 - 4 nines.
anyone know the reason?
Would love to buy this and make it my own personal playground - if I had $4M lying around.
Wow, I want!!!!!!!!!! 6/49 tomorrow, Max on Friday, whatever!!!!!!!!! Maybe Ottawa golf can buy it, with all of us chipping in and we can all own like the Green Bay Packers!
MLS number doesn't work for me...
At the beginning splash page, click commercial properties instead of residential, then enter the #. It works.
Here's the link.

Wow,thats crazy. The owners also own Touraine golf club,I wonder if they are just gonna keep that course.
Must say,did not see that one coming.
Wow, not to start anything but clublink should buy that.
No range. First things I'd do when I win the lotto and buy it is put in a range, improve the bloody beer selection, and hire some beer cart girls!
In one of the courses around here the range is a money machine. But it is close to town and a lot of people use it whether they are going to practice or play a round.
Perhaps a range over there would not be because the only people that would use it are people who play there.
Anyone want to invest and buy this course with me? I can put in a couple hundred thousand maybe, looking for someone to take the other 3.7 million. Anyone? Anyone??
I've $20 in my wallet not doing anything at the moment.
I've got 6 dollars ans 53 cents, and an old button and some lint.I,m in.LOL
We're making progress, this is good, I'll start the negotiations with my real estate agent...
Personally I play my worst golf at any course that doesn't have a range handy to warm up at (or at least see where the balls are heading that day). Stonebridge, Sorcier, and Equinelle all fall under that category. The nets just don't cut it. Although I beleive Equinelle was supposed to open their's up at the end of May (haven't been there since mid May).
I can see it taking over a lot of space that may not be used very much though. Anyone know if there is a range on the way to Soricer that's not to far out of the way?
There is a range in Gatineau just as you get on the 50
Whatever is left of the 320 acres is all zoned “agricultural” so you can’t really do anything with it that’s why the current owner had to closed the new tee offs on holes number 3, 8 and 10!

Whoever buys this course will have to invest in fixing those bunkers and also get those cart path paved.

If I had the cash I’d definitely buy that course it has a lot of potential in the hands of the right owner!!!!
I wonder how much profit a golf course like this makes. I asked the Marshall there about it being sold, and that I read about it online. He said the owner is going into retirement which is the reason he's selling and apparently he has at least 1 more he's selling too. Not sure if that's true or if the course just isn't making any profit. I really do think my dream would be to own a golf course one day, and I think (after seeing their papers on how business has been the past few years) that I'd buy this course up and improve it. Nice course, but could be so much better with a little work.
Wow is right...nice track...hopefully it doesn't go in the hands of someone who lets things start to fall apart...that would be a shame.
I know some guys working there. They are looking for a new owner since last year.
They are not making money. Despite it is a nice layout, the green fees are too high and the course is not much busy when there's no promotions.
Also, the city of Gatineau doesn't want to change the zoning. That's a headhache for them.
Yea that's what I was thinking too. I've always noticed that it was never really busy whenever I played there, I wonder why. Is it just because of location? $70 with cart doesn't seem unreasonable to me, but then again I'm always using a discount program so maybe it is unreasonable.
So the new owners would have to do a little improvements and also lower their pricing. I guess that's why its such a tough sell.
Great track, someone with some pull with the City would do very well to buy this property. Changes to some zoning would help the layout on a couple of holes and he could expand to get a decent driving range. The word of new ownership and the hiring of new well trained freindly staff (Equinelle like) and good marketing would send this course to the top end of courses to play in Ottawa.
I agree, it's a great course. If not for the discount membership wouldn't play it. Cost of green fee + ferry across is a little too steep for a round of golf for me.
