On July 23 at 2:30 pm 3 men were struck by lightning at the Gatineau Golf Course, on the putting green.
Stephane Menard, his brother Pierre Menard and friend Kevin McAllister were all simutaneously struck while Mr McAllister's 9 year old daughter looked on in horror.
All are fine, but shaken. They may or may not have physiological problems in the future as a result of this, but I think we can all agree, they are very very lucky indeed to be alive today.
I emplore all of you...Quote:

The two brothers had just finished their game and were in the restaraunt when they saw their friend on the putting green. They went down to greet Mr McAllister, and Stephane asked to try out Mr McAllister's putter.
One of the golfers noticed there was lightning, but Stephane assured him "it's going the other way".
Stephane was returning the putter when the lightning struck.
If you see lightning, take shelter. Get off the course. Do not assume it always happens to someone else. These 3 men may not be dead, but that is way closer than I ever want to come. Lightning kills, and no game of golf is worth it.
