I voted yes.
Of course, but that's ok.
Johnyc... I feel your pain. I hooked a 4-wood over 65 yds... :(
Cant seem to get more than one good round a week. Very frustrating when you know you can do better. The worst season ever so far for me.
What a beautiful day today, spoiled it playing golf :p
I voted "No". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...or something like that.
I love playing with someone way better than me, or much worse than me. The former provides inspiration, the latter an ego boost ... and possibly phone number ;)
Golf has a way of humbling anyone. One day or week or month, you think you have it figured out, and then it disappears. The trick is to figure out how to score even when the magic has temporarily its leave. And remember, keep smiling. It may not help your game, but it will certainly help your disposition, and ultimately that will help your game.
In answer to your question, at times I suck, and at others I don't. I prefer to dwell on the latter and not the former.
ya, but I'm changing that this year )
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I can range from spectacular to terrible on a single hole, from hole to hole, or from round to round.
Thankfully I don't golf for a living so it doesn't matter. Teeing off in 90 minutes!
I said No , i've hit all the shots , 300 yrd drives , chip-ins , 40ft putts ,etc (ok no HIO ...yet)
Now putting them together in one round , thats a different story :-)
As JV said i don't golf for a living , i golf for fun.
I have lately sucked for 9 holes. My last 2 rounds in Belleville were 53-41 and 49-39.
They don't me 3-Putt-Johnny for nothing. I am sucking this year. I can't putt at all. My driver is killing me, hook city.
Everything else is great. I have seen many chances for birdies and even a couple of chances for eagle, but my putter has let me down every time. The running joke is when I get on the green, (I have bad eyes) I ask my playing partners how far I am from the hole, response: Your within 3-putt territory! Laughing ensues, just not by me.
compared to a pro 'yes' but I agree with Wilster's post ( except the 300yrd drive part ) , it's all about enjoying the game and not beating yourself up.
Should have made it a public pole. Then I could pick some folks to golf with. LOL
Big YES for me.
FIVE up with Seven holes to go and get beat in 19 holes. what do you think!!!
I chipped in for a 10 today :0
I was feeling like king of the world when I parred that 596 yard par 5 at Champlain with 20 ft putt. Of course, the next day I couldn't hit anything, so I was reminded that I actually do suck.
changing my tune after the 2 rnds played on the weekend but still trying to stay positive. I was so put off with my round yesterday I did not even want to stick around after for a pint !
Handicap has been telling me that yes I do suck at golf. But two better rounds on the weekend have finallly changed the direction. I've been taking lessons and the swing changes prescribed have really frustrated me.
Of course if any of us didn't suck at golf, we'd be doing it for a living.
After my Intersectional rounds...can I change my vote to yes?
More than I want to, but way less than I have been for the last two years. I should change my name to Phoenix, cuz I'm rising from the ashes ;)
Today was my worst round this year, and it's been a bad season so far. Good thing I do this for 'fun' :-)
Oh well. Really looking forward to the next round! < No sarcasm intended!
After this morning's round at the Tunis qualifier, I think I definitely suck. No idea what I was thinking starting off, without it I might have stood a chance :P

I suck at golf. Ask Spackler.
