Can I get to start the winter thread? :-) Oh yes the greens are growing in quite nicely at MC--fairways a little soft--you can blame that on "the big guy"--Playing Mt Pellier tomorrow--will let you know. :)
Chateau cartier is very nice too, greens speed are perfect.
kingsway golf course have a very nice view in fall and the course is nice till end of october.
Greensmere is very nice. There are some patchy spots in different fairways, but the greens are in great shape. Despite all the rain, the greens were still rolling pretty fast, and definitely true.
Playing Marshes tomorrow and the par 3 18 at Marshes on Friday for my bud's wedding. Will advise.
Metcalfe: Good condition; the greens were punched but with all the rain you can't tell anymore. Played Sunday and it was like that so by now it should be more than fine.
Meadows: Good Condition greens haven't been puched.
PoplarGrove: Good shape green wise; no punching. The fairways are well cut just the greens may have leaves or things like that. Either way I enjoy there playing after work as its usually quite empty.
Renfrew is in great condition. Fariways are a bit harder than I remembered from last year. Greens are in greta shape and fast.
Played Canadian on Tues. Course was a little wet (duh), but in great shape. Greens have been punched and are pretty much recovered.
Played Madawaska twisted pines the other day was great but sand traps were water traps and we are talking deep water here other than that was great course
I'm playing Loch March today, I'll up-date later
Played Vieux Moulin on Tuesday, fariway were softer than summer conditions, which is better if anyone ever played that course. Greens were perfect except for the fact that there was a LOT of HUGE unrepaired ball marks on the green. We must have been playing behind a bunch of guys who didn't repair, nothing the course can do.
There were a few greens covered with leaves though.
Played Haute Plaines today. All greens were recently punched and excessively fast. Terrible condition for such an expensive course.
How was Loch March Hacker? Thinking of playing Sunday.
Marshes was in great shape today. Greens were relatively fast with few ball marks.
Em Links East was good today. A bit soggy and some leaves on greens, but overall good.
Mt Pellier was in great shape--very lush--a little soft with all the rain--no aeration yet and very few leaves. Closing Oct 15--shotgun starts Sept 25--all in all great conditions :)
Loch March was outstanding yesterday!!
The greens were as good as I've ever seen them, still cut to mid-season length and rolling very true.
Despite all of the recent rain the course was very dry with the exception of a few bunkers which were "damp" (no standing water though).
The leaves are starting to fall, but they haven't become an issue yet. The only green that had any real amount of leaves was #15, but that is surrounded on 3 sides by trees so I guess it is to be expected.
I asked the Marshall when he expect the course to close and he said they are definately hoping to be open until the end of October maybe a week or two longer depending on the weather. :thumbsup
Played Pakenham Highlands today, Lake and Island courses. Both in great shape, tee boxes have been aerated, but greens were smooth and fast. Some tree litter on the courses, but nothing excessive or abnormal.
This is the first time I've ever been to Pakenham and I was very impressed :thumbsup Hole 6 on the Island course was fun! :laugh
You must have hit the green then. Those are the only people that say that hole is fun. :-)Quote:

Played 18 at Marchwood today with the free Golf Show coupon. Greens have some fall litter on them, but are in great shape.
Has anyone heard anything about when the Marshes might be closing for the season?
Played Mississipi for the first time today. Very impressed, nice track. Fairways were being punched, but effects where hardly noticeable. Greens were in excellent shape.
Fairways were aerated at Greensmere sometime in the past few days, not a problem though. The greens, as always, are in great shape.

I played Canadian a week ago Tues. Was in great, although wet, shape. The greens were really good. They were aerated some time ago and have grown in nicely since then.Quote:

Played there yesterday, and the course is in great shape. Some fairways were wet around the green, but the greens were in great shape, no signs of aeration. Tee boxes however were just punched.Quote:
