I'm enjoying my morning coffee - Tim Horton's home brewed. I love my morning cup of java.
What's the best coffee out there, whether home brewed or at the coffee shop?

Oddly enough, the best cup i have ever had was at Cappones rest. on Carling ave.
You mean, ONE time??? LOL Or is it consistently great?
I eat there 2 or 3 times a year.
Its allways good, but the last time stands out as the best,so cant be sure?
As far as on a reg. bassis,i have to go with Tim's.
All those other shops are o.k,but i find its getting harder and harder to get just a reg. cup of coffee!
15 different beans to choose from,10 grinds,4 creams,4 milks,17 sugars,12 variety's of nuts,nutmeg from 4 country's,all these choices for a 10 dollar cup of coffee:rolleyes
Starbucks drive-thru Hazeldean Rd. after a long shift at work or just before an early morning tee-time, great staff too.http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoti.../crazy/218.gif
Totally agree with that. The only time I'll pay over $2 is for an Ice Cap.

Starbucks has the best regular coffee IMNHO. Tim Horton's is swill.
Starbucks is by far the best, espeacialy when you have their home espresso machine... But Tim's gets a very honerable mention just due to the fact that they are everywhere, thus winning on the convineance factor and less then 2 bucks a cup.
Tim Horton's is the best coffee on earth IMO. When they make it with there perfect ratios.
I quit all caffeine about 2-3 months ago and never felt better. I had a nasty headache for about 48 hours but since than I've been fine. I used to drink 1-3 cups of coffee a day and 1-2 cokes a day. Glad I made the switch.
I do miss my ritual though and the occasional decaf just doesn't cut it!
Definately Starbucks for me :) I have mine half caf. x 3 every morning at home. Day just isn't the same without it.
I don't drink much coffee...but the place that I had the best coffee was a cafe in London Drugs, a Western based chain for pharmacy, electronics and many other goods. The coffee brand was Seattle's Best Coffee if my memory serves me right.

After I have finished my morning pot of coffee, it is time for an X-Large Timmies, Black, no sugar! :-) Then get another on the way home from work, then 1 or 2 more during the evening.... :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup Weekends is a constant trip to the nearest Timmies.... love me java :)
Timmy Ho's is the most addicting by far....but that is because of the high nicotine and nutmeg content (maybe a little bit of crack in there too).
As far as the best coffee I've had, it's definitely the stuff they sell at the UVic bookstore. Saltspring Organic(?) Fair Trade coffee. I know what you're thinking - "Goddamn kids going out to the coast and turning into hippies with their 'social conscience' fair trade crap." Well, the coffee is delicious. There are a couple other good fair trade brands out here, but this Saltspring stuff is above the rest. Nothing like a really good super dark roast to get you going in the morning (black as midnight, of course). I don't know what it is, but they seem to do consummables better out here - the beers, the wines, the coffees...its good stuff.
Maxwell house, good to the last drop!
That stuff you get in hotel rooms is always fantastic though. I always look forward to my M-I-L returning from a trip, she always brings me a few packets back since she does not drink coffee.

Let me rephrase that for you dear, "weekends is a constant trip FOR BUGSY to go to nearest timmies, or else Indio pouts all day"Quote:

Does Dunkin Donuts still exist?Quote:

I've tried many, many types of coffee, both expensive and inexpensive, and drink a ton of coffee. I am totally addicted to Jamaican Nut from A&P. It's one of the flavours you can grind right up in the store. Just a great rich flavour that's not overpowering but really delicious. Try it.
Tim's is great if you're out and about. The Scandinavian Home restaurant in Thunder Bay used to brew the best cup of restaurant coffee I've ever had. They used Mother Parker's, which is what we use at work, but there's was so much better. It must have had something to do with their 20 year old brewer. That restaurant has since moved and the coffee just isn't as great as it once was. Probably bought new brewers.
Saltspring Fair Trade is really good. Serious Coffee is great too; way better than Starbuck's. Island-owned operation, which is nice.Quote:

Well, I have to stick up for my favourite. I find Second Cup makes a more flavourful product than Starbuck's. Second is Peet's. Unfortunately, neither of these chains is really wonderful for those of us who spend time travelling, since they seem to congregate in more residential areas. On those grounds, Timmie's is a good fallback, since it is very predictable. However, I find the taste a little too overpowering unless you cut back on it with cream and/or sugar! Finally, Starbuck's, again since it is more readily available. I only wish that they did not roast the beans quite so much.
Cheers,
Tim
I like strong flavours in life. I like the burning flavour of heavy peated scotch neat. I like the burning sensation of a cuban cigar drawn into the mouth and exhaled through the nose without passing into the lungs.... it can bring a tear to the inexperienced eye... & I like my coffe very strong. Second Cup & Starbucks make great strong varieties, at home we use the PC stuff in the black can, its pretty good if you make it strong enough. I do not care for Tim Hortons, just because to me it tastes like they forgot to put the coffee in the filter... however I do drink it occasionally out of convenience.
"...or the Pungent aroma of smoke eminating from your parking break as you cruise down the 417. And there is nothing quite like the smell of burnt rubber, as you peel out of the golf course on nice summer evening"Quote:
