I love squash!!!!!!!! Awesome sport, great exercise! Haven't played since my ACL surgery though. I might have to get back into it once I have more faith in my knee.
Ouch! Can you even play after that type of surgery? What kind of chance do you have of messing that knee up again?
Well, if I wear my brace I should be fine, but nowhere near as quick as I was. Might have to try it to see.
I picked up squash last year, and have become obsessed play about twice a week. I hate exercise, and squash is the only way you can get me moving in the winter months.
used to play it a ton, but have trouble finding a game now....
used to play it when I was at Carlton U. I loved it then and I still do. Great all around excersise it is.
squash is wicked fun.....wicked fun...works out a whole bunch of weird muscles too. It's been great for keeping my lateral mobility up, which i'll be glad of when I start playing goalie again in january.
does anybody know where I could play in Ottawa (preferably in the west end) without a membership? I play at the university out here, but would like to be able to play a few games over Christmas break.
i would love to have a game (its been a long time) , i know that some of the Goodlife gyms have squash courts , but i'm not sure which ones.
try the nepean sportsplex....likely the best you can play without a membership
the one at pinecrest definitely does. I know you can play as a non-member if you're there with a member (I seem to recall there being a fee), but I'm not sure if you can go without a member.
Love playing squash, play around 2-3 times a week at the Queensview Goodlife. One of the best work-outs you can get!
I was playing once a week, now twice and am looking for a third. Here in Petawawa the facilities are great at Dundonald Hall on base! Three international regulation courts built about 10 years ago, and a small group of guys meets Thursday evenings - all skill levels. Walk-ins are $5! If anyone's up this way, I'm up for a match.
