Just got back from a week at Barceló Bavaro Beach resort and The Lakes Golf Course in Punta Cana, DR.
The resort guest rooms are a little dated with oldish bathrooms and ashtrays but the resort has modern pools, bars, and restaurants that are all connected with beautiful tile walkways. The...
Ok Ok I do not mean to rub it in. :) Just wanted to say we have had the best weather so far in years---has not been below 70 degrees. We are staying in the Clermont area---lots of courses--paying approx 30.00 US a round. Staying away from the larger resort courses as they tend to get beat up...
I am likely attending a wedding in Cape Breton in the summer and would like to squeeze in a couple of rounds while there (Inverness area). However, the green fees for most of the courses seem out of this world! Does anyone have any suggestions for a person on a budget?

Hi, we're driving to Myrtle Beach from Ottawa in a couple of weeks - does anyone have travel tips? Is there any reason not to follow the Google Maps directions? We're planning on two days; 10 hrs or so on day one. I think that will get us close to Richmond, Va.
My wife and I are vacationing at Old Orchard Beach, Maine. The other day I played Cape Neddick Golf Course near Ogunquit. The course is very challenging even though shorter than most. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and lots of blind shots with hidden hazards of dense forest, reeds and water. At...
Looking for a relatively cheap stay-and-play golf vacation for my wife and I within a 3 hour drive of Ottawa. Preferably somewhere nice, or where there is something to do other than golf. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
Pictures are uploaded and album is created, so here goes.
I played two rounds at Erin Hills this past Sunday and Monday. The weather could not have been better. Mid 80's, not humid, just a bit of a breeze. Perfect. The caddies were also appreciative.
Executive summary: Erin Hills is a...

Okay I played Pebble Beach twice, Spyglass Hill twice and the Links at Spanish Bay once back the second week of June/2015. What I found out from one of the caddies is you do not have to stay at one of the Pebble Beach properties to play golf.
Pebble Beach owns 3 Hotels, the Lodge, Palmero Lodge...
