I was using FreeCaddie as the preferred golf GPS application on my Samsung. But now, since I received a newer Samsung model, it longer works. I am looking for advice on GPS systems for mobile phones, which do not use data. I have no interest in a range finder.

I never understood why courses place a large tree in the middle of the fairway...leaving you no options. Too large to go over...and I am not talented enough to hook it around the tree. I don't think the typical golfer should have to deal with that obstacle....seems silly.
