Just want to emphasis this point. Always always declare the goods that you purchased or received. Not only are undeclared goods subject to seizure, so is your car that was used to transport the goods.

It simply is not worth it. Moreover, for amount less than say $100 or so, the officer may not send you in to pay HST. This depends on the officer, his or her mood for the day, etc. so your experiences can vary significantly from one day to the next and from one person to the next.
