Anyone played the course in Veradero? I am heading down there next week and was wondering if anyone had played the course and if it was nice? Don't think I am going to bring my clubs unless I hear a great review from someone. Thanks in advance.

Played it three years ago - Nice layout for most holes that I can remember - it can get extremely windy - some nice views of the ocean. The only thing negative that I remember is that not all greens rolled the same but that could have changed 100 times since...

I was in Varadero in March but I didn't play. A few guys at our resort played and really enjoyed it. The prices are a lot more reasonnable. (around 70 pesos). Some of them rented clubs and some of them had brought their own clubs.

Some of them went back a second time, so means a lot for the quality.

I've played it. I think it was about 70$ and there was a required caddy and stuff. Some amazing views. Fairways wern't spectacular and the greens were tough. Not fast, but not easy to read. I'm not used to playing on bermuda grass either though.
