GC2 with E6 simulation software
Hi guys
Anyone know if there is any way of getting the GC2 to work with E6 simulation software?
GC2 is a great LM, but I'm not so impressed with the foresight simulation software.
Thanks

You can buy SDK from Foresight.......$$$$$$$$$$$$ + some more $$$$$$$$$$
ie. NO
are you talking CG3 or Foresight redchain? What are you not impressed with?
Have you seen E6 in the flesh? , not just promo's or E62 promos?

Good point! I have the simulation software that foresight sports sell i.e. foresight red chain. You are right, I haven't seen E6 in the flesh - only the promos.
Red chain Foresight simulation software doesn't look anywhere near as good as E6?
How would you compare red chain in the flesh vs E6 in the flesh?

From memory there are issues with E6 spin on the greens. and the graphics are not as good as the promos. Even have a look at the video of the first Perfect parallel shot on a sim.....impressed???
There are threads going back 1.5 years about Redchain v E6 v everything else. In fact Cory did videos on his youtube channel with the different software, cannot find them but PM him for the link.
There was big hype about CG3 and it turned out to be a dud.
my sim has been boosted by HD projector so I am happy to wait for the next offering.

I have both Red Chain and E6. Without a doubt Red Chain is better. There is a comparison thread. ZMax also has both and he can comment as well. Trust me, Red Chain is better.

Ok thanks guys. I guess I just wait for the next version from foresight. I'm assuming the one I have from sold from foresight (base + champions packages) is "Red chain".
Will hunt the old thread down. Will post my home simulator pics soon. I'm very pleased by how it has all turned out!Last edited by GolfMonster2; 08-22-2013 at 01:18 PM.

You have the GC2 and HMT? Software is RedChain. What new software are you referring too?

Apparently there is an updated version on the way for the simulation software that foresight sells with the unit. I'm assume this is an upgrade to the red chain software.

Sorry to ask the obvious, but what is "red chain" and who designs the sim software that foresight supply with their GC2? Are these the same or are they different?
Many thanks

Red Chain is the simulation software engine. The parent company is Red Chain. Many different simulator systems may use the Red Chain. ProTee, P3 pro etc.

And Redchain take money off monitor/sensor companies to modify the software for them. Foresight has a modified "club fitting" range amongst other things.
Then Foresight takes money off you.......they are good at doing that.

Hey Cory
I recall you saying on another thread that E6 were happy to incorporate the GC2, but it was up to Foresight? (maybe I interpreted wrong). Have just been told by our local Foresight rep that:
"Foresight have an open protocol for communication that can be adopted by any company wanting to interface with the GC2"
Do we need to push Trugolf to integrate with the GC2?

GM
What your rep means is anyone paying $$$ can integrate. Ask the rep for some costings.

Are you guys still thinking of E6 or is this E6-II we are talking about? Red Chain is definitely better than E6 but if you don't believe it then spend a few grand to find out. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so maybe you will like it!

Ok Bubba, we take your point about E6 vs. red chain. If there isn't much difference then certainly wouldn't be worth the extra dollars (except for the extra courses).
E6II could be a different story, but as you say, you can't really make an assessment based on the youtube promos. The point I think the rep was making is that E6 could integrate if they thought it was financially viable. No political reasons for not integrating.

The software world is were companies can make a profit. E6II should be better, for many reasons than E6. I would wait for E62 as it develops. If money is no object, then get E6. Foresight can certainly integrate it if enough interest is there. The promo videos of E6 look better than in person unfortunately. Where things are with Perfect Parallel or Red Chain 2 is completely unknown!

I see this has gone dark, so was wondering if anyone has E6 1.6 with a GC2?
Costs permitting, this is something I'm looking to add.

Im pretty sure you need an interface like the OGT one. There is GSX from ProTee. It integrates with E6. I had the demo and ran it through GSX.

Thanks mthunt. that's what I thought. I have zero interest in supporting someone who bans people because they don't like them.
Cheers
