Perfect Golf - Perfect Parallel
Perfect Golf aka Perfect Parallel, is currently an early access Golf Sim Platform.
You can buy the game on Steam for $20.00 US or $22.00 CDN. There are currently 14 golf courses and a driving range.
The game is expected to go full release soon (rumor is end of February/early March).
Pricing isn't posted yet, but again rumored to be at $250/year with unlimited courses and updates.
Please post any thoughts on pricing, game play, graphics, ect. This IS NOT a solicitation for game play or purchase, just a guy who likes to play golf when the weather is bad outside.

I think if they go to a yearly $250 fee, TGC vs PG is a tough decision. However at 400 per year it is a no brainer to go with TGC.
I do like the idea of local play with different tee boxes in PG. That makes playing with the Mrs GambleGamble more convenient.

We will see very soon. In the meantime enjoy the game for the current price.

I'm def leaning towards PG over TGC - to me playability (i.e., local multi-player using different tee boxes, mini map w yardage uphill/downhill elevations, click anywhere to aim on map or course, etc.) is much more important than fancy graphics requiring a supercomputer and 80k courses or even ability to design own course. Give me 20-30 good well-mapped-out courses w good playability and I'm all good. The $250/year (or $400 outright as speculated) is also more attractive than the TGC price.

PG sounds great and gonna be available for SkyTrak soon. Just wish the sim version will also run MacOS instead of just Windows...

Hey DB, I'm not a Mac guy - AT ALL - but I believe you can run PG on Mac - just not on MacOS. Understand, it's not a PG issue, they have everything in place, rhapsodo (skytrak) doesn't have the OSX (I think that's it from what I've read).
Do they have a MAC OS for the Japan Skytrak?

Just want people to know that to play Perfect Golf with a GC2 IS NOT BETA.
You need to pay the $20 for the software from steam and then register to get the interface. But THIS IS NOT BETA.
BETA Testing is DONE by a few of us and is in no way requested or required for ANYONE who owns a GC2. There is no DATA collection requested or reports required.
All that the people from Perfect Golf ask is that if you run into a bug or issues, let them know. Have fun, best deal for $20 if you own a GC2.

Between PG and TGC the software options and pricing is absolutely amazing. The days of companies making huge profits on simulators is over.

Couldn't agree more. It's an even better deal if you have a GC2. It's only $20 to play Perfect Golf with a GC2. How crazy is that!!!

Not to mince words, but it's actually $350 - NO Skytrak Tax on the GC2.

I think there might of been 1 or 2 after the one I bought. I'll tell you though, PG has been great. You should see Augusta National. Many are saying its the best Augusta National ever created. THE BEST!!!

I'm confused and hope somebody can help me out. The game is $34.99 on steam right now, but do I need to pay the $250/year as stated at **.net to be able to use my GC2 with it? Or is that just for the online community access?

Yes you have to pay the $250 every year to use with your GC2. Plus the one time $34 fee to purchase the game itself on steam.
Joystick users only pay a one time $34 game cost so way much cheaper.
An alternative would be TGC. They have an outright buy option that costs more initially but much cheaper over time. It is just as good. Really just personal preference which one any given person likes better.
