Winter Golf trip
Hi Golfers-
Id like to hear golf travel experiences from vacationers. Where to go or not go. Best bang for the buck.

I've been to many of the winter golf destinations, Florida, Myrtle Beach, Georgia, California, Scottsdale, Texas etc. The one I thought provided he most value and allowed you to have so many choices in courses is the Robert Trent Golf Trail in Alabama. You can fly into Atlanta and drive a couple of hours from there, or fly into Birmingham, Mobile or Montgomery. The Trail follows the main interstate from North to South, and the courses are all along there. I played about 5 of them, there are 20 or so I think, and they feature courses that are played by the LPGA and Senior PGA tours. I paid no more than $50 for a round of golf, and a similar course in Orlando or Phoenix would have been $100 or more. Check it out, you will be surprised at how much quality golf there is.

Good luck.

I would agree with Funk-like----------friends of ours played many of the courses last year --he is a golf nut/guro and said it was the best bang for the buck. I have seen a couple of the courses and they are nice--packages can be bought through Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I can't speak to the RTJ golf trail, but I usually tell folks Orlando is a great place for golf vacationers. Lots of courses and just about any price range. Top courses like Panther Lake and Crooked Cat, Southern Dunes etc... will run you about 100 bucks. That said there are many courses that can be played by doing a little searching for 40 bucks even in December through February.
